It is ‘Tech or Treat Time’! On Saturday, October 24th, the Discovery Educator Network will host its free Fall Virtual Conference. Many cities throughout the United States are hosting face to face events in conjunction with the virtual conference sponsored by state leadership councils. The theme is ‘Tech or Treat’ and there will be treats galore given away that day. If you submit a picture of yourself in a costume you can win prizes for your classroom. One special treat is that we finally get to find out what ‘AREA 51′ is!
The virtual conference will begin at 9am EST and will run until 3pm EST. You can find out more information about this event at http://blog.discoveryeducation.com/fall-virtcon-2010/.

Join thousands of educators online and in-person as the DEN team goes house to house to explore the many digital treats available to educators today. During this unique professional development event you have the flexibility to attend online or in-person at one of many regional events hosted by the DEN Leadership Councils.
The day will feature special presentations from Gail Lovely, Steve Dembo and Hall Davidson along with featured STAR Discovery Educators sharing their projects from the DEN Summer Institute (DENSI10). A host of other great sessions from your DEN team is guaranteed to satisfy your digital sweet tooth.
As part of the day’s festivities we’ll have prizes for the best costumes that day. Whether you are attending in-person or online, get dressed up and you could win a fabulous prize for your classroom.
