Can you believe these statistics?!?!

Steve Hargadon, founder of Classroom 2.0.com and Future of Education.com, asked Peggy George, Lorna Costantini and myself for statistics of the shows that we do each Saturday morning in Elluminate entitled “Classroom 2.0 LIVE!”.

Classroom 2.0 LIVE!

Below are the statistics related to our webinar series and Classroom 2.0 LIVE website. We often receive feedback about the power of the discussions and the guests we have on our show each week are always receptive to feedback and constructive criticism. Often times, people confuse Classroom 2.0.com and Classroom 2.o LIVE! Classroom 2.0 LIVE! is an extension of the conversations that occur online at Classroom 2.0.com.  When I read the statistics that Peggy compiled, I was even more proud of the work we are doing to help educators integrate technology and connect with others around the globe. The statistics were outstanding and so eye opening for me that I wanted to share them with you.

Classroom 2.0 LIVE! Statistics:

*76 shows since January 2009 with weekly blog posts archiving all recordings, chat logs, and follow-up resource links for every topic which people are using to share with educators in local professional development experiences in addition to watching recordings when they weren’t able to participate in person

*Number of participants range from 30-110 with average participation around 50-60 each week

*Since we began offering professional development certificates for webinar participation in Oct. 2009 we have distributed 833 certificates ranging from 5-38 per session with an average of 22 certificates each session.

*52 different countries have visited this site. Total unique visitors: 35,806 (these stats differ somewhat from the Weebly stats)

No count of countries participating in our shows but our international audience is growing. If this is important we could gather this information from chat logs over time.

*87 special guest presenters who are educational leaders, teachers, students, administrators, professional development consultants and online program developers

*30 video and audio recordings posted on iTunesU where people can subscribe and download mp3 and mp4 recordings to portable devices (don’t have statistics for how many people are using this service)

*348 followers on our Twitter account: http://www.twitter.com/liveclass20

*68 members on Diigo group where gl.am links and other related show links are shared: http://groups.diigo.com/group/classroom-20-live

* Classroom 2.0 LIVE Co-Hosts have done presentations both virtually and f2f sharing “Host your Own Webinar” on Elluminate/LearnCentral using our process as an example for demonstrating social networking tools for planning, communicating and collaborating (Virtual Technology Conference/TX; Elluminati Virtual Conference; ISTE 2010 Poster Session; AzTEA T&T and WOW Conferences; Australia Series/TechTalk Tuesdays; AzTEA Elluminate webinar presentation on LearnCentral features by Gailene Nelson)

I find this information interesting…not sure if it’s significant but it shows people are coming to our site in many different ways. (Peggy George)
